
1. I don't think that the country could go through another depression because we have learned from history. The government has put in place checks and balances to watch the banks so that we don't repeat a depression.
2. The types of sacrifices that my family and I would have to make during a depression would be any kind of luxury. This could be anything from new clothes for school, cable, and a cell phone. Money would be very tight.
3. The author describes a 21th century depression as a domestic sphere. He says people would leave their houses much less and they do now. Also, the author says that the depression would cause more suicides and domestic violence, but divorce rates would go lower because families couldn't afford a separation.
